Our health and nutrition coaching focuses on supporting clients as they develop healthy eating habits and nutritional knowledge that supports their fitness goals. Our health coaches are not licensed dietitians and legally are not able to provide medical nutrition therapy, assess individual nutritional needs, create meal plans, etc. but they will help refer you to trusted professionals if necessary and desired. The Lifting Lab’s approach is to sit beside you in that journey to health and help you identify what may be getting in the way of meeting your goals and help you create a continuum of care with professionals (doctors, dietitians, therapists, etc.) to support your health fully. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or improve overall health, our certified coaches help guide you towards making choices that align with your body’s needs and your personal preferences.
Behavior change coaching is designed to help you identify and modify habits that you feel negatively impact your health and fitness and that you want to change. Through motivational interviewing and strategic planning, our coaches support you in finding ways to make lasting changes that enhance your well-being and help you achieve your long-term health, wellness, and fitness goals!
The Lifting Lab’s pelvic floor corrective exercise specialist, Aly, guides women through the changes of pregnancy and postpartum recovery to educate and empower them about their bodies and help them find their confidence to successfully manage common symptoms in this season of life. If you’re experiencing leaking, prolapse, diastasis recti or if you’re not sure how to modify prenatal exercise or how to safely return to postpartum recovery- you’re in the right place!
Whether your goal is to stop peeing when you sneeze or you’re training for a marathon, the foundation to these goals are the same! All postpartum women, from professional athletes to those who have never exercised in their life, have the same starting point when it comes to recovery.
